About the work.
Daredevil: Born Again becomes a set of vintage-style comic covers in Hongfei Liu's illustration series. Red and yellow sit against deep teal and black, while heavy ink lines, aged-paper textures and dramatic lettering give each image the feel of a printed comic.
The three covers bring together Daredevil, Matt Murdock, Wilson Fisk, Bullseye, White Tiger and Punisher imagery. Circular motifs, close portraits and rooftop scenes carry the compositions. The artist's monochrome triptych and colour-detail montage offer another look at the linework and individual motifs.
On Behance, Liu describes the series as a personal response to the returning Daredevil show. These are independent fan illustrations, not an official Marvel production credit. All six supplied originals are presented in full, including the framed cover views and the artist's embedded marks.
